What you'd actually do

  1. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  2. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  3. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  4. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  5. Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years, or master’s and 6+ years’ of relevant experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Lead proposal activities including: Development of the Request for Proposal (RFP) package, Assigning and tracking completion of Labor, Travel, and Material estimates, Auditing estimates for accuracy, completeness, and pricing strategy, Managing scope and artifact changes through disciplined process, Development and maintenance of proposal schedule, Lead Fact Finding activities, Support Negotiation activities, Prior experience leading cross-functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management, Field Operations, etc.)
