Manager, Project Management - Partnerships Product Operations

This role is for a Manager of Project Management within Partnerships Product Operations. The primary focus is on building the infrastructure, data systems, and operating rhythms to enable the product team to work more effectively and expedite the delivery of high-impact products. The role involves acting as a strategic partner to leadership, providing portfolio strategy insights, and driving organizational change. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing product development operating models, managing portfolio visibility and performance analysis, building customer feedback infrastructure, and optimizing the product tool stack. While the company is Capital One, which uses AI, this role itself is focused on product operations and project management, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement the "Golden Path" for product development, including agile methodologies, release management cadences, and discovery practices.
  2. Create the systems and standards that enable Product Managers to set strategy, prioritize roadmaps, and iterate on products consistently across the organization.
  3. Design and facilitate the forums for trade-off discussions, quarterly planning, and portfolio reviews to ensure high-velocity decision-making.
  4. Build and maintain trusted, automated views of our product and tech investments to provide leadership with clear visibility into what we are building and why.
  5. Analyze product performance data and operational metrics (e.g., speed to market, feature adoption, ROI) to identify bottlenecks and inform future product strategy.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 4 years of Project or Process Management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in Jira

Nice to have

  • Masters Degree or MBA
  • 5+ years of Project or Process Management experience
  • 2+ years of Product Operations experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills
