Manager, Recruiting for Mobility and U4B at Uber, responsible for leading a team of talent acquisition partners across the APAC region. This role involves developing talent initiatives, setting regional direction, implementing standard ways of working for candidate experience and sourcing, and managing a diverse team. Requires extensive recruiting and management experience, with a strong understanding of the local market and global TA processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. This role is accountable for leading a team of talent acquisition partners focused on hiring for all roles at Uber across Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia and India.
  2. The individual will be responsible for implementing standard ways of working to include the candidate experience, assessment/selection processes, development of research/diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives/sourcing strategies, and will be the primary point of contact for the team and all local hiring managers.
  3. This leader will continue to build, mentor, and develop a diverse talent acquisition team and drive an environment of continuous learning.
  4. This individual will manage the team through the identification of development opportunities, guidance around TA strategies, and ensure successful relationships are being built with HR and Uber Leadership Team.
  5. They will help escalate the team to be viewed by leaders as true business partners.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience
  • 5+ years managing a recruitment team
  • comprehensive understanding of recruiting practices
  • understanding of the local Japanese/North Asia market
  • Experience managing the performance and professional development of other senior level recruiters
  • Experience creating and executing recruiter training and mentoring a team
  • Experience supporting a fast-paced, high growth organisation
  • Expertise in market mapping, research, candidate development, hiring manager relationship development, and presenting overall recruiting outcomes to senior leaders
  • Strong bias towards organized and structured ways of working with mindset towards aligning all processes globally
  • The ability to interact effectively with business partners at all levels of the organisation
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and a diverse workload, while achieving results in a fast-paced environment
  • Internal recruitment experience
