Manager, Revenue Recognition

Salesforce is seeking a Manager, Revenue Recognition to partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams to ensure revenue recognition compliance for customer contracts. This role involves contract review, establishing standard contract structures, and leading training on revenue recognition policies. The candidate will also work with external auditors and maintain SOX compliance. Experience with ASC 606 and SaaS business models is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Legal during contract negotiations and provide suggestions and guidance in order to ensure proper revenue recognition
  2. Review complex revenue contracts for compliance with US GAAP and determine the appropriate accounting treatment
  3. Establish standard contract structures for both existing & new products and work cross-functionally to maintain a scalable quote-to-cash process
  4. Lead training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within the Company, and in particular within the Sales organization
  5. Engage with external auditors and understand/respond to the changes in the audit approach

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3-5+ years relevant revenue recognition experience
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management skills
