Manager, Sales Development

Vanta is seeking a Manager, Sales Development to lead and mentor a team of SDRs, evolve the prospecting playbook, and grow the Sales Development team. The role involves managing, coaching, and recruiting SDRs, developing new prospecting initiatives, and fostering an inclusive sales organization. Success requires B2B SaaS sales and management experience, strong problem-solving skills, and technical competency to understand Vanta's software in the GRC space.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and mentor a growing team of high performing Sales Development Representatives, providing them the tools, coaching, and support needed to deliver results for the business
  2. Evolve Vanta’s prospecting playbook by developing and implementing new prospecting initiatives and strategies that will increase deal sizes, resolve complex use cases, and drive more revenue to the company
  3. Grow the Sales Development team at Vanta, through active involvement in recruitment, on-boarding and training of new Sales Development Representatives
  4. Create and establish strategic prospecting training, conduct weekly forecasting meetings, and mentor your direct reports on strategies that can help create pipeline
  5. Help to continually foster an inclusive Sales organization representing Vanta’s culture and values

Skills

Required

  • 3-5 years of sales experience
  • 2+ years of management/leadership experience
  • B2B SaaS sales and sales management experience
  • Experience prospecting into various market segments and personas
  • Stellar problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to make a large impact early on in a start-up environment
  • Technical competency to understand Vanta’s software
  • Intellectual curiosity to learn about the world of governance, risk and compliance
  • Ability to build great relationships with highly technical prospects
