Manager role to establish and lead a team developing simulations and digital twins for autonomous construction and robotics, with a focus on neural network-based simulations and VLA-based robotics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Hire and develop a team of simulation, software and rendering/visualization engineers focused on VLA based robotics.
  2. Work with management to bring skills related to statistical and neural network-based simulation to Caterpillar.
  3. Work with peers and management to define the long‑term vision, for robotics simulation and allied platform.
  4. Partner with leadership and peers to establish a multi‑year simulation and digital twin roadmap, supporting automation and robotics.
  5. Translate business and autonomy requirements into simulation solutions.** ** Identifying where simulations and digital twins can support robotics.

Skills

Required

  • management experience in robotics and/or simulation and/or software
  • simulation, robotics or autonomy

  • Start-up preferred
  • deploying Omniverse‑based digital twins strongly preferred
