What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the (regional / country) SE team including conducting performance evaluations, approving paid time-off, assigning or delegating work, providing on-the-job training, giving guidance to staff, conducting performance improvement plans, taking disciplinary action, and interviewing candidates for open positions.
  2. Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers for the assigned SE Team.
  3. Partner with management to define headcounts quarterly and yearly ensuring the SE organization is scalable to meet and exceed goals and objectives.
  4. Drive Product Requirements and Business Units
  5. Demonstrate ability to understand customer requirement and challenges and present related F5 solutions

Skills

Required

  • BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience
  • A number of years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role
  • Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization
