Manager Supply Chain 1 at Northrop Grumman responsible for planning, issuing, and controlling production schedules and coordinating material requirements to ensure a smooth flow of materials for production. This role involves advising management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production issues, as well as scheduling personnel and equipment, and managing interdepartmental coordination. The position requires direct supervision of staff and adherence to management guidelines and policies. A Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, or equivalent, and two years of lead/supervisory experience are required, along with a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  2. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
  3. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
  4. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
  5. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant work experience, OR Masters degree with 2 years of relevant work experience, OR High school diploma/equivalent with 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Two years of lead and/or supervisory experience
  • Inventory Control experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Current active U.S. Government Secret clearance to apply/start with the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access

  • Experience working with high volume, complex and fast paced environment
