This is a Manager of Supply Chain Programs 2 role at Northrop Grumman, focusing on managing supply chain strategies, planning, and execution for programs. The role involves ensuring affordability, operational efficiency, safety, and quality targets are met, managing supplier performance, and overseeing financial aspects using Earned Value Management (EVM). What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a Program or collection of Programs.
  2. Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.
  3. Leads supply chain Program execution, is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution. Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.
  4. Will oversee all aspects of Supply Chain for the Operating Unit, delivering status reports, act with a sense of urgency in response to exigent requirements, applying supply chain knowledge and experience to successfully navigate high pace and high-level expectations.
  5. Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibility for labor and non-labor, including variance analyses and work package management execution utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in business management, program management, project management, supply chain or operations OR a Master's degree with 3 years of experience in business management, program management, project management, supply chain or operations OR a High School Diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience in business management, program management, project management, supply chain or operations
  • previous experience in Supply Chain
  • 3 years of leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • Experience with Earned Value (EV) and how non-labor inputs are reported upon
  • Experience utilizing MS Office Suite and SAP
  • current active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance
  • ability to obtain/maintain Program Special Access
  • ability to prepare and present executive-level presentations

Nice to have

  • Experience managing Subcontractor financial performance and integrating that into larger Program financial plan
  • Previous experience as a CAM for non-labor
  • Have existing Program Access
  • Aerospace and Defense experience
  • Master’s degree in Business, Global Supply Chain or Project Management
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and program management principles, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with proven ability to develop and maintain strong internal/external customer relationships
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of internal leadership and externally to suppliers
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
