Lead a technical support engineering team focused on Amazon's retail operations, driving customer success through issue resolution, automation, and collaboration with development teams. The team utilizes ML and deep learning for scaling complex tasks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a technical support team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and accountability
  2. Partner with Program and Operations managers to understand their needs, resolve technical issues efficiently, and ensure their success on our platforms
  3. Identify patterns in customer issues and collaborate with development teams to implement improvements that reduce future problems
  4. Design and implement automation and self-service tools that enable your team to scale their impact and reduce manual work
  5. Establish metrics and processes that track team performance, customer satisfaction, and opportunities for operational improvement

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
  • 5+ years of leading technical support teams experience
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience in technical support, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, build, deployment processes and timelines

Nice to have

  • Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies
