Manager Sys/test Validation Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Penang, Malaysia · Engineering

This role is for a System Test Engineering Manager focused on AMD's Datacenter Accelerated Computing products, specifically for manufacturing test solutions and automation, validation, and cross-functional program management for datacenter GPUs. The role involves developing test strategies, debugging hardware/software issues, contributing to automated diagnostic generation, and supporting test content development in Python. While the company mentions AI/ML applications and the products are used for AI, the core of the role is in manufacturing test and validation of hardware, not in building or researching AI models themselves.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop test strategy for new product features including identification, specification, design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and diagnostic software.
  2. Define qualification, maintenance, and release procedures for test solutions used in manufacturing of data center products
  3. Contribute to automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure.
  4. Define manufacturing hardware test solutions that translate into methodologies and processes applicable across Board and System product segments.
  5. Support the development of test content and solutions in Python.
