Visa goes beyond payment processing. Our Value Added Services (VAS) team delivers data-driven insights, digital experiences, loyalty solutions, and advanced tools to help our clients and partners deepen customer engagement, drive revenue growth, and operate more securely.
The Issuing Solutions team sits within the VAS organization as a growth driver and is responsible for the end-to-end sales lifecycle of loyalty, digital, network and data products for across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Manager to support the growth of Visa’s VAS solutions for financial institutions.
The Manager, Issuing VAS Specialized Sales is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for sourcing, shaping and closing Issuing VAS opportunities with Financial Institution clients across Loyalty, Digital, Network and Data products.
Reporting to the Director, this role focuses on product portfolio commercialization, direct deal execution, disciplined hunting and strong client facing engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Opportunity Ownership
• Own a personal sales quota across Loyalty, Digital and Data products.
• Proactively prospect, qualify, structure and progress opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
• Support Director-led opportunities through opportunity shaping, proposal development and stakeholder coordination.
• Maintain a high-quality, well-qualified pipeline with strong forecasting discipline.
• Build trusted relationships with FI stakeholders and engage confidently in commercial discussions.
Issuer-Side & Product Expertise
• Build strong working knowledge of card issuer economics, loyalty mechanics, digital engagement drivers and data-led value propositions.
• Develop fluency across a subset of Visa’s VAS Issuing Solutions and articulate clear client value.
Internal Collaboration
• Partner with Generalist Sellers (Account Executives) to align account strategies and identify whitespace opportunities as the subject matter expert.
• Work closely with Operations & Implementation to ensure accurate scoping and smooth handover post-sale.
• Collaborate with Program & Content Management and Sales Operations to support delivery readiness and CRM discipline.
Commercial Discipline & Market Awareness
• Support pricing and commercial constructs in line with established frameworks.
• Maintain accurate CRM records (Microsoft Dynamics).
• Track market and competitive trends and feed insights back into sales strategy.
Essential Functions
• Deliver against individual revenue targets across Loyalty, Digital and Data.
• Create and sustain a healthy, qualified sales pipeline.
• Drive technical sales conversations, negotiations, and contracting.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 6–10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in enterprise B2B sales, financial services, payments, fintech, loyalty, digital or data-driven solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to issuer-focused environments or payments ecosystems.
• Strong communication, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
• Creative problem solver able to connect client challenges with innovative solutions.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for expanding business horizontally and vertically across the FI value chain.
• Ability to thrive and take accountability in fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous conditions.
• Experience collaborating in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in payments and loyalty or rewards solutions is highly preferred but not essential.
