Manager for VMaaS and CaaS platforms, responsible for end-to-end ownership, reliability, and evolution. Focuses on stable operations, scalable architecture, and lifecycle management, including platform modernization and AI/automation-driven operations. Leads a team of platform engineers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own VMaaS and CaaS platforms end‑to‑end, including architecture, operations, lifecycle, security posture, and service quality.
  2. Ensure 24x7 availability, incident response readiness, and operational stability.
  3. Lead major platform initiatives including: VMware EOL and Hyper‑V migration, Provisioning tooling transition (VRA replacement / iLab adoption), Kubernetes version upgrades and lifecycle alignment
  4. Drive the adoption of AI and automation tools to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual work, and lower run‑costs across VMaaS and CaaS platforms.
  5. Lead and develop a highly skilled platform team spanning VM, Kubernetes, and automation expertise.

Skills

Required

  • People management experience leading infrastructure or platform engineering teams
  • Hands-on technical experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
  • Hands-on technical experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker Swarm)
  • Infrastructure automation and lifecycle management
  • Operating mission-critical platforms at enterprise scale
  • AI-assisted IT operations concepts and tools
  • AI and automation to improve operational efficiency
  • People Leadership & Management
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

  • Master's degree
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, CKA, or CKAD)
  • Managing teams of 15+ engineers across multiple technical disciplines
