This role is for a Manager of Workplace Services at The Trade Desk, a global technology company focused on digital advertising. The position involves leading a team to manage the day-to-day workplace experience, including operations, employee and guest experience, facilities, vendor management, and safety. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hospitality-driven operator with experience in leadership, problem-solving, and managing complex operations in fast-paced environments. The role is not directly related to AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and develop a high-performing Workplace team, driving accountability, collaboration, and service excellence
  2. Oversee day-to-day workplace operations, including employee and guest experience, communications, events, food and beverage, facilities coordination, vendor management, and safety
  3. Own the end-to-end workplace experience, ensuring a seamless, high-quality environment aligned with business needs
  4. Lead through others while maintaining visibility into priorities, performance, and outcomes
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners (Real Estate, HR, IT, Security, Facilities, etc.)

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ years equivalent) in workplace, hospitality, or operations leadership, preferably in fast-paced or tech environments
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams/individual contributors
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with high emotional intelligence
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to balance employee experience with operational priorities
  • Skilled at scaling operations, improving processes, and driving consistency in growing environments
  • Collaborative and confident working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to lead through ambiguity and change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work flexible hours and respond to workplace needs as required
  • Comfortable with active, on-site responsibilities, including occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
