Manager for Allstate Canada's National Claims Casualty Vendor Program, responsible for managing vendor relationships, assessing markets, implementing policies, managing performance, and driving excellence in claims support and customer satisfaction. Requires strong analytical, negotiation, and people management skills, with knowledge of insurance regulations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build, manage and maintain healthy professional relationships within the vendor sector for Allstate Canada
  2. Assess casualty vendor markets nationally to identify strengths, opportunities, and claim strategies that will address servicing the changing insurance environment.
  3. Implement policies, processes, and procedures as they pertain to Vendor Programs, maintaining effectiveness and adherence.
  4. Manage the performance of the vendor network as deemed appropriate based on results.
  5. Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate the onboarding, renewal and offboarding of vendors.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 5 years working in a vendor or procurement environment (or equivalent field of claims/casualty industry)
  • Minimum 2 years’ people management experience or equivalent positions of influence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Proven ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle conflict resolution opportunities, including complex issues.
  • Extensive claims and insurance regulation knowledge and proficiency.
  • Collaborative mentoring & coaching skills
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to embrace change.
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge, advanced knowledge of business technology systems and systems that are used in the casualty claims space.
  • Strong working knowledge of foundational management concepts; Continuous Improvement, Agile, Change Management

Nice to have

  • Enrolled in, or completion of, CIP, ACIP, FCIP designation is an asset.
