Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst to support sustainment and modernization programs. The role involves fabricating prototype electromechanical systems, performing technical analysis of hardware and electrical systems for manufacturability, advising engineering teams on material availability and production issues, and potentially providing training. Requires experience in manufacturing operations, material specifications, tooling, electronics assembly/repair, and electronic component selection. A Secret Clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Fabricate prototype electromechanical systems per engineering source data.
  2. Perform technical analysis, reviews and recommendations of hardware and electrical system for manufacturability.
  3. Maintains and utilizes general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
  4. Advises engineering teams of material availability and potential production problems to ensure that equipment and materials are provided as needed.
  5. May provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

Skills

Required

  • 6 years of relevant experience or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in one or more areas of manufacturing operations
  • Experience with material specifications and tooling for fabrication
  • Experience with electronics assembly/repair to include soldering, IC replacement and wire termination for circuit cards and cable assemblies
  • Experience with electronic component selection and evaluating test requirements for avionics systems
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with legacy system sustainment and modernization, including hardware redesign due to obsolescence
  • Experience with schematic development and circuit card design
  • Prior DoD Industry Experience
  • Current US Government Secret Clearance
