This role is for a Manufacturing Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on program management within manufacturing operations. The analyst will act as an interface between manufacturing and other functional groups, coordinating all aspects of manufacturing scope of work, tracking materials, planning capacity, and reporting on program performance (cost, schedule, technical, quality). Responsibilities include managing operations cost and schedule, overseeing demands and schedules in the MRP system, facilitating meetings, and driving process improvements. The role also involves developing better metrics, managing labor resources, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting data infrastructure for manufacturing performance visibility. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in manufacturing or related fields, experience managing complex projects, leading teams, analyzing data, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Defense industry experience, MRP/SAP, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, CAM, quoting, and supplier management are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the Operations Project Manager for assigned products and programs.
  2. Function as an interface between Manufacturing and functional groups and provide leadership through design, build, test, and delivery to achieve customer, program and company objectives.
  3. Coordinate all aspects of manufacturing scope of work throughout program lifecycle including, procurement coordination, material tracking, coordination of kitting, manpower and capacity planning, and reporting of program cost, schedule, technical and quality performance.
  4. Providing status of hardware of assigned Programs from the time of initial kit conversion, through manufacturing process, to delivery of hardware to internal and or external customers
  5. Responsible for operations cost, schedule performance and risk/opportunity management for the assigned products.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or other related discipline with 2 years of related experience working with manufacturing teams
  • Experience managing and communicating statuses on complex projects to all levels of management, including the executive level.
  • Experience leading a team, providing direction, and determining priorities to achieve cost and schedule requirements.
  • Experience analyzing data and figures (cost and schedule along with other manufacturing related metrics).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
  • U.S Citizenship required.
