Manufacturing Engineer

Crusoe · Data AI · Arvada, CO - US · Manufacturing (MFG)

This role is for a Manufacturing Engineer at an AI infrastructure company. The engineer will focus on optimizing production facilities, plant layouts, throughput, and providing daily production support. Responsibilities include analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, participating in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) reviews, and developing work instructions. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 3-5+ years of manufacturing experience, with proficiency in CAD and Lean Manufacturing principles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and update manufacturing floor layouts to optimize material flow, maximize space utilization, and ensure safe operator movements.
  2. Analyze production data and perform time studies to identify bottlenecks; implement process improvements to balance assembly lines and increase overall facility throughput.
  3. Identify opportunities for improvements in First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE).
  4. Assist in calculating production capacity and resource requirements to support scaling operations for high-volume manufacturing.
  5. Participate in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) reviews, providing feedback from the factory floor to simplify assembly and drive cost reductions.
