Manufacturing Engineer at Ford responsible for leading the specification, procurement, build, installation, and launch of production equipment for power electronics components. This role involves developing standardized processes, supporting test processes, collaborating with product engineering, and troubleshooting production issues in a high-volume, automated environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the specification, procurement, build, installation and launch of Powertrain Production equipment related to the manufacturing of powertrain power electronics components.
  2. Develop and deliver standardized processes and equipment in line with global powertrain strategies.
  3. Develop and implement manufacturing process associated with power electronics manufacturing including sintering vacuum reflow soldering, selective wave soldering and laser welding.
  4. Support all test processes (e.g. leak test, in-process test, final test etc.).
  5. Lead collaboration with Product Engineering to achieve a working Product design that meets Manufacturing Design Specifications with feasible expectations in the Engineering Specification (ES).

What the JD emphasized
