Manufacturing Engineer role focused on designing and documenting manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling within an industrial/defense context. Responsibilities include defining fabrication processes, creating work instructions, and supporting equipment maintenance and facilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling
  2. Develop process documentation for new and existing systems’ Bonding, Mechanical Fabrication, Coating, and Additive Manufacturing
  3. Work with the chief engineer to develop repair procedures
  4. Evaluate incoming production for feasibility and process definition
  5. Define fabrication process based on component features, materials and dimensions

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM area with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with MS Office software applications
  • Experience using drafting/modeling software
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements
  • 3D modeling experience in Unigraphics/NX
  • Machining
  • Experience with the Teamcenter Manufacturing tool suite and Manufacturing Process Planning
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 6 sigma concepts for process development and control
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
