This role is for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer who will support the manufacturing of Carbon Robotics' AI-powered LaserWeeder product. The engineer will develop manufacturing process solutions, contribute to PLM/ERP/MES systems, troubleshoot electrical issues, and prototype/iterate designs for electrical test fixtures and automated testing equipment. While the product uses AI/ML, the role itself is focused on manufacturing engineering and hardware, not AI model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop manufacturing process solutions - that will involve both software, documentation, and floor operations
  2. Be responsible for essential manufacturing engineering tools
  3. Contribute to the improvement of PLM, ERP, MES systems
  4. Assist in manufacturing engineering for new product introduction and how to scale manufacturing processes
  5. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve electrical or systems issues which may arise during manufacturing

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 3 years working experience as a manufacturing engineer
  • Experience with 3-phase distribution systems required
  • Experience working with electrical control panels or enclosures required
  • Hands on experience in hardware debug and automated verification
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in schematic design and machine architecture
  • BS+ in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required

Nice to have

  • Experience with PLC Systems and Ladder
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers / panel shops
  • Experience with SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS Electrical
