Manufacturing Engineer, Electronic Warfare

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Manufacturing : Manufacturing Engineering : Manufacturing Engineering

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their Electronic Warfare team. This role focuses on rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, encompassing the entire manufacturing value chain from design for manufacturability to process optimization, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and documentation. The engineer will drive process improvements, ensure production quality, support new product development, and scale production. Responsibilities include owning the manufacturing value chain for AI&T, contributing to operational excellence, collaborating with quality and design engineering, developing process flows, writing manufacturing documentation, working with contract manufacturers, and hands-on building of prototype hardware. Requires 5+ years of experience in electromechanical hardware manufacturing or design, with a strong understanding of the manufacturing process and ability to deliver hardware in resource-constrained environments. Experience with RF products and system AI&T is preferred. The role requires the candidate to be a U.S. Person due to export control information.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain that includes Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electro-mechanical assemblies
  2. Contribute to operational excellence with a strong continuous improvement mindset and leading impactful Kaizen events
  3. Be a strong partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support RCCA burndowns that tackle key issues both internally and externally to EW Production
  4. Collaborate with Design Engineering teams in early to late phases of the development process to provide DFx for smooth NPI transitions
  5. Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the delivery of electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment
  • Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.)
  • Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning

Nice to have

  • Experience with RF Products that require system AI&T (assembly, integration, and test)
  • Exposure to or interest in scaling product testing and production.
  • Hands-on experience with software & firmware flashing or end-of-line testing & troubleshooting
  • Software scripting experience in any language
  • Current active U.S. Secret security clearance

What the JD emphasized
