What you'd actually do

  1. Support Final Assembly of Major End Items as part of cross-functional team by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
  2. Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
  3. Drive continuous improvement through projects aiming at improving cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making.
  4. Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
  5. Work cross functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design to implement robust processes for continuous improvement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • working in a manufacturing or design environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • Active DoD security clearance
  • Technical drawing interpretation
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
