Manufacturing Engineer – Mission Support (service & Repair Operations)

Saronic · Defense · Austin, TX · Mission Services

Manufacturing Engineer focused on developing and standardizing repair and service processes for autonomous surface vessels. This role involves translating complex post-production work into structured, repeatable, and auditable workflows within manufacturing systems, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with quality standards like ISO9001.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and implement standardized repair processes for component-level and system-level work (including retrofits, service campaigns, and major repairs)
  2. Build and maintain digital repair workflows within the MES/manufacturing system
  3. Partner closely with Field Service Representatives (FSRs), Depot teams, and Mission Support leadership to capture real-world repair needs and operational constraints
  4. Develop and maintain clear, controlled documentation for all repair processes
  5. Provide guidance and training to technicians and field teams on newly developed repair processes
