Co-op position for Manufacturing Engineering students at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, focusing on hands-on experience in production processes, problem-solving, and continuous improvement projects within the Ethicon division.

What you'd actually do

  1. Participate in problem solving efforts by analysis and correction of chemical, electrical, and mechanical operating problems to maintain or improve existing site operations
  2. Good documentation practices, including writing test protocols, generating final reports, and documenting meeting minutes
  3. Collaborate with Senior Engineers and mentors to implement continuous improvement projects
  4. Deliver end of semester presentations to showcase work to site management and participate in J&J Credo volunteer activities across the site

What the JD emphasized

  • Enrollment in an accredited college/university pursuing a Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Plastics Engineering, or similar degree is required
  • Completion of your first year with a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
  • Authorization to work in the United States and not require sponsorship in the future is required
  • Dedication to working full time (40 hours per week) on-site for the duration of the co-op is required
