Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager 3 in Chandler, AZ to lead a team of managers and engineers in driving operational excellence across launch vehicle production lines. The role involves advanced manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, human factors, and manufacturing systems engineering practices, focusing on optimizing safe, efficient, and capable manufacturing processes for complex aerospace products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in lean manufacturing, production systems design, ergonomic workcell development, and data-driven decision making within a regulated aerospace environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, develop, and mentor a multidiscipline team of Manufacturing, Industrial, Human Factors, and Systems Engineers.
  2. Define and execute the manufacturing engineering roadmap aligned with program, operations, quality, and business objectives.
  3. Own manufacturing process definition and deployment for new and existing aerospace products, including build sequences, work instructions, tooling concepts, and process controls.
  4. Lead value stream analysis, capacity modeling, throughput optimization, and factory flow improvements for complex production lines.
  5. Integrate human factors and ergonomics principles into workstation and tooling design to ensure safe, efficient, and user-centered operations.
