Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for autonomous surface vessels (ASVs) for the DoD. Focus on process execution, troubleshooting, and hands-on support.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes for ASV production.
  2. Work with design and engineering teams to translate specifications into practical manufacturing steps.
  3. Investigate, document, and escalate production issues; assist engineers in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  4. Suggest and help implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  5. Maintain accurate records of production processes, test results, and quality checks.

Skills

Required

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field; equivalent technical training or experience
  • Prior experience as a manufacturing technician or similar role in a complex electromechanical manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of shop-floor practices, process documentation, and quality control
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, technical documentation, and follow standard operating procedures
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills and mechanical/electrical aptitude

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime technologies
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
