Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manufacturing Innovation Engineering Manager to drive manufacturing innovations across their Joints Supply Chain sites. This role involves customer engagement, designing and delivering manufacturing solutions, managing project roadmaps, and leading a team of engineers to ensure successful program delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, metal manufacturing environments, and experience in regulated manufacturing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work hand-in-glove with site leadership to ensure that their frustrations and opportunities are fully understood.
  2. Identify new opportunities and collaborate with other teams to formulate realistic, high-impact innovation programs underpinned by strong return on investment, seeking alignment with key partners and customers.
  3. Develop fully costed and scheduled programs, secure funding and support for the project from initiation to implementation - from Technology Readiness Level, TRL 1 to TRL 9.
  4. Develop and be accountable for the sites' innovation roadmaps that delivers the required Key Performance Indictors, aligning innovations with site drivers so that a pipeline of impactful innovations are delivered to the site, year on year.
  5. Accountable for a team of manufacturing engineers and the effective delivery of programs - from inception to completion and fostering positive relationships built on trust and mutual value.
