Manufacturing Operation Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Taipei, Taiwan · Engineering

This role focuses on manufacturing operations and engineering for data center platforms, including supporting ODM/OEM partners, defining manufacturing test strategies, developing test plans, and analyzing yield data. It involves NPI bring-up, sustaining production, and collaborating with various internal teams (Platform Engineering, Manufacturing Operation, DIAG, Hardware, Tool, Software, CQE/PQE). The goal is to ensure reliable and scalable execution of complex electronic products, particularly server systems with CPUs/GPUs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Platform Engineering and Manufacturing Operation team to support ODM/OEM/customer to identify and drive the end-to-end manufacturing assembly and test strategy—from early design through high-volume production—to ensure reliable, scalable execution.
  2. Define and execute a comprehensive manufacturing test strategy in collaboration with DIAG, Hardware, Tool, Software development, and CQE/PQE teams.
  3. Develop test plans, coverage evaluations, and mechanical test requirements for new and existing products.
  4. Work with Internal design and deploy manufacturing test platforms, fixtures, jigs, and SOPs for Contract Manufacturers.
  5. Team up with internal team for test infrastructure, including servers, performance monitoring, and log accessibility before deploy to ODM/customer.
