Boeing is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analyst-Experienced Mechanical Workplace Coach to provide coaching for mechanical installations, rigging, torque, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting. The role involves conducting learning requirements analysis, customer workplace coaching sessions, deploying development tools, and serving as an on-floor subject-matter expert to enable rapid skills transfer through hands-on coaching and mentoring. Responsibilities include observing technicians, providing targeted coaching, demonstrating workmanship standards, capturing lessons learned, participating in root cause investigations, and maintaining current knowledge of product systems and processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide coaching for installation processes specific to mechanical installations, rigging, torque, line handling, and blueprint reading and interpretation
  2. Conducts learning requirements analysis and establishes learning objectives
  3. Conducts customer workplace coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance
  4. Deploys development tools and monitors implementation and performance outcomes
  5. Serve as the on‑floor mechanical subject‑matter expert (SME) who enables rapid skills transfer through hands‑on coaching and just‑in‑time mentoring

Skills

Required

  • aerospace or commercial manufacturing environment experience
  • mechanical troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • aircraft mechanical systems (Environmental Control Systems, hydraulics, fuels, controls)
  • Aircraft Flight Controls
  • Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems
  • hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • tubing and ducting manufacturing/installation/maintenance
  • reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data
