This role is for a Manufacturing Operations Analyst-Paint Operations Workplace Coach at Boeing. The primary responsibilities include providing on-floor coaching and demonstrations to improve workmanship and first-time quality in paint operations, supporting upskilling, and validating competence. The role requires extensive experience in painting aircraft or aircraft parts, surface preparation, cleaning, and handling chemicals.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the on-floor paint SME providing just-in-time coaching and hands-on demonstrations to improve workmanship and first-time quality.
  2. Support rapid upskilling for off product or surge needs and validate competence during onboarding and transfers.
  3. Observe and validate surface preparation, masking, pretreatment, primer/coating application, cure, and final inspection; provide immediate corrective coaching.
  4. Coach technicians on use and calibration of paint test equipment (DFT meters, gloss meters, adhesion tests) and environmental controls (temp/humidity/ventilation).
  5. Mentor on contamination control, defect root cause identification (fisheyes, runs, orange peel, adhesion issues), and practical corrective actions.
