Manufacturing Operator (contract)

This role involves performing product manufacturing and assembly tasks, operating and maintaining production equipment, collecting operating data, and driving process improvements in a manufacturing environment. It requires adherence to SOPs and quality standards, with potential for contract extension or conversion to permanent.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform product manufacturing and assembly tasks, ensuring outputs meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  2. Support developing, building, and testing new products, prototypes, or processes; operate equipment in-factory or remotely.
  3. Collect and evaluate operating data, adjust equipment, and optimize production efficiency.
  4. Set up and operate equipment following SOPs and good manufacturing practices; support installation, basic maintenance, and training of production equipment.
  5. Maximize equipment utilization and automated systems; work with Manufacturing Operations Manager and team to meet output requirements and escalate issues when needed.

Skills

Required

  • SPM, STPM, Non-Tech Diploma or any other equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with precision instruments and equipment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic systems
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and procedures
