Manufacturing Operators at Intel in Penang, Malaysia, are responsible for performing product manufacturing and assembly tasks, operating equipment, collecting and evaluating operating data, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring quality control of raw materials and finished products. The role involves setting up and operating production equipment, supporting installation and training of new equipment, and collaborating with management to meet output requirements. Key responsibilities include operating machinery, monitoring production processes, assisting with material handling, maintaining work area cleanliness, meeting production targets, and participating in training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks in the production process, ensuring that the finished products match the industry standards and customer specifications. Also supports developing, building and testing new products and prototypes, or processes for quality and functionality.
  2. Operates equipment either from a remote operations center or internal to factory. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.
  3. Maintains overall production efficiency of assigned tools/ modules, and optimizes production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed. Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  4. Supports activities related to the installation, qualification, maintenance, and training of new or reused production equipment. Drives maximum utilization of equipment and use of automated systems to maximize quality of output.
  5. Works with Manufacturing Operations Manager and peers to produce product that meets output requirements and escalates appropriately to management team when shift output schedules are at risk.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production machinery
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work in shifts and overtime as required

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
