Manufacturing Planner I

This role is for a Manufacturing Planner I at RTX, responsible for managing and leading the acquisition and manufacturing of test equipment. The position involves resolving manufacturing issues, managing requisitions through the procurement cycle, and utilizing systems like EMMS for work orders and material tracking. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment, with a focus on material procurement and a required active security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures
  2. Participate in engineering design reviews
  3. Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records
  4. Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets
  5. Assist in resolving manufacturing issues and overseeing delivery of final products to internal/external customers

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment
  • Experience with material procurement
  • US Citizen with Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware
  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software and database applications
  • Experience with the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation
