Manufacturing Planner II

This role involves managing and leading the acquisition and manufacturing of test equipment, resolving manufacturing issues, and overseeing procurement cycles. It requires interpreting engineering drawings and experience in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures
  2. Participate in engineering design reviews
  3. Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records
  4. Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets
  5. Assist in resolving manufacturing issues and overseeing delivery of final products to internal/external customers

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience
  • interpreting engineering drawings related to electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment area
  • Experience with material procurement

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware
  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation
  • Experience dealing with supply chain and material obsolescence issues
