Manufacturing Process Quality Leader

Leads processes and assignments for the Manufacturing Process Improvement team, supporting organizational objectives and business goals. Defines project terms, directs workflow, and serves as a primary point of contact. Conducts audits of quality systems to assess compliance with good manufacturing practices, equipment engineering systems, and ISO standards. Guides team on policies, identifies causes for non-conformances and process failures, and implements corrective actions. Advises on cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies. Reviews quality trends, provides direction for process enhancement, and guides supervisors on investigations. Leads cross-functional teams to assure root causes are identified and corrective/preventive actions are implemented. Analyzes data to recommend process, equipment, and system improvements. Writes procedures, provides training on process evaluation tools, and handles investigations of negative trends, product escalations, and complaints.

What you'd actually do

  1. Guides team on policies and procedures to ensure compliance and achievement of the organization's objectives for the Manufacturing Process Improvement area.
  2. Under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, the PQL provides technical leadership towards the Identification of the causes for non-conformances and process’ failures, and for the implementation of the remedial, corrective and preventative actions thus assuring process performance and compliance against QSR, GMP, and ISO requirements for the entire Business Unit manufacturing process.
  3. Advises on identifying and implementing cost saving measures to drive profit optimization and operational efficiencies.
  4. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards.
  5. Reviews and analyses quality trends with the manufacturing team. Considering the quality trends provides direction in terms of setting work priorities for process enhancement.
