This role focuses on developing and integrating software systems, automated hardware, and industrial robotics for aircraft production processes. It involves programming, system design, and testing within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on engineering processes and collaboration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and design for software systems, automated hardware systems, and industrial robotics
  2. Develop and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  3. Perform engineering activities including development, integration, and testing of automated hardware systems
  4. Influence, innovate and continuously improve the engineering processes as well as the quality, safety and reliability of our products and services
  5. Collaborate proactively with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand operational and performance expectations

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of industry experience in aerospace or large-scale manufacturing
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of experience in programming and integrating automated manufacturing equipment, including CNC, PLC, and robotic systems, leveraging CAD/CAM and real-time software development

  • Skilled in applying data modeling techniques and tools to translate complex business processes into scalable data architectures
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-functional engineering workflows and their influence on manufacturing, logistics, and business operations
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information across electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to support product lifecycle activities
  • Proven ability to drive process innovation and system integration initiatives that optimize manufacturing schedules, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
  • Competent in full software development lifecycle within manufacturing environments, delivering integrated solutions from engineering design through production deployment
  • Strong collaborator with internal and external stakeholders to ensure automation systems meet evolving operational requirements and performance standards
  • Experience with manufacturing assembly knowledge, GD&T, process engineering, drilling and fastening, metrology, linear algebra, geometry, numerical methods, 3D geometry, and computational methods
  • Experience with database development, C# ASP.NET CORE MVC, C# ASP.NET CORE Blazor, software development best practices, clean code, Python, C++, Linux and Cloud Development, .NET Core framework, C# ASP.NET CORE MVC
