Manufacturing Technician role focused on paint process specialization, supporting technical aspects of planning, driving cost-reduction, and problem-solving for efficient, reliable, and high-quality paint operations in an industrial manufacturing setting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Troubleshoot day-to-day paint process issues; such as: coating defects, finish quality, safety.
  2. Develop, implement, and monitor process improvements to enhance paint application efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  3. Lead the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of paint equipment, tools, and systems (e.g., spray booths, curing ovens, application systems).
  4. Collaborate with suppliers to source materials, equipment, and technical support for paint processes.
  5. Analyze paint system performance and recommend improvements in materials, parameters, and application techniques.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Pre-Advanced English-speaking level
  • Intermediate working knowledge of manufacturing engineering
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge with reading and interpreting engineering prints

Nice to have

  • Intermediate working knowledge in Paint Processes
  • Working knowledge with CQMS certification requirements, NPI, APQP, and PPAP processes (Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams)
  • CAV Auditor Certification
  • Green Belt Certification
