What you'd actually do

  1. Read and understand blueprints
  2. Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
  3. Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
  4. Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
  5. Measures parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
  • Ability to work any shift

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Current/active a U.S. Government Secret level clearance
