What you'd actually do

  1. quickly and correctly identify problems
  2. resolves issues by following departmental guidelines and standard work or making changes based on root cause corrective actions
  3. float to work in any area of the engine production line, test and repair, as needed, to meet daily production requirements
  4. perform basic mechanical repairs which include: valve adjustments, flow timing, trouble-shoot timing calibration/oil pressures
  5. perform Electrical Testing

Skills

Required

  • Five years of engine experience in any of the following areas: automotive or diesel engines
  • One year of vocational program (after high school) or equivalent on the job training program
  • basic mechanical repairs
  • Electrical Testing
  • reading and understanding blue prints/schematics
  • intermediate computer skills
  • communicate at all levels of the organization
  • good working knowledge or hand tools and various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.)
  • work in a team environment
  • work an off-shift (3rd)

Nice to have

  • Technical Degree
  • ASE Certification
