This role focuses on developing, implementing, and executing test procedures for aircraft components and systems for their Roadrunner counter-UAS interceptor, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards. The role involves designing test plans, validating test systems on the production line, analyzing test data, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop test plans, procedures, and automated test systems for aircraft components and systems
  2. Validate and deploy test systems on the production line to ensure compliance with product specifications
  3. Conduct testing on aircraft systems and components, documenting results and ensuring compliance with quality standards
  4. Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
  5. Perform root cause analysis on any discrepancies or failures during testing

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in production test engineering or a related role, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and practices in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • An attitude of world-class mission assurance, quality, attention to detail, and dedication
  • Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and dedication, being prepared to work extended hours and weekends when dictated by critical business priorities
  • Regular travel between our various locations is an essential component of this role
  • U.S. Citizen Required

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with test automation tools and software
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in aircraft production
  • Software scripting experience in any language
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent standards
