Market Development Representative

PitchBook is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive growth through new enterprise client acquisition. This role is the first point of contact for new business opportunities, engaging inbound leads via phone, email, and LinkedIn to book product demos and initiate the sales cycle. The representative will also execute outbound prospecting into assigned accounts to maximize opportunities and contribute to overall sales goals.

What you'd actually do

  1. Book qualified product demonstrations for our sales team
  2. Connect with leads through written and verbal communication
  3. Utilize tool stack as instructed to work through lead pipeline and maintain accurate records
  4. Act as a consultant and take the time to understand your prospects needs and business priorities to address appropriately
  5. Conduct thorough discovery both pre-call and during call

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrate fearless curiosity and operate with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results
  • Maintain prioritization and organization based on team strategy and goals
  • Possess strong negotiation skills to effectively book inbound leads
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A self-starter with a competitive spirit but also team oriented
  • Interested in the capital markets
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
  • Must be authorized to work in Singapore without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Nice to have

  • Prior sales internship experience preferred but not necessary
  • Prior experience with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LeanData/BookIt preferred but not necessary
