This is a Market Development Representative role focused on inbound sales for PitchBook, a financial data and software company. The role involves engaging with leads, booking product demonstrations, and contributing to sales goals. What you'd actually do

  1. Book qualified product demonstrations for our sales team
  2. Connect with leads through written and verbal communication
  3. Utilize tool stack as instructed to work through lead pipeline and maintain accurate records
  4. Act as a consultant and take the time to understand your prospects needs and business priorities to address appropriately
  5. Conduct thorough discovery both pre-call and during call

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Nice to have

  • Prior sales internship experience
  • Prior experience with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LeanData/BookIt
  • Demonstrate fearless curiosity and operate with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results
  • Maintain prioritization and organization based on team strategy and goals
  • Possess strong negotiation skills to effectively book inbound leads
  • A self-starter with a competitive spirit but also team oriented
  • Interested in the capital markets
