Market Insights and Strategy Partner, Deepmind (fixed-term Contract)

Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +2

This role is a Market Insights and Strategy Partner for Google DeepMind, focusing on talent acquisition. The responsibilities include understanding recruitment workflows, identifying talent pools, designing programs to capture market intelligence, and defining requirements for AI tools to automate market research. The role requires experience in executive search research, talent intelligence, or TA strategy, and the ability to translate market data into actionable insights for the talent acquisition team. While AI tools are mentioned as a means to automate research, the core function of the role is market intelligence and strategy within talent acquisition, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with TA Leadership and recruiters to deeply understand their workflows, diagnose their blind spots, and determine exactly what market intelligence they need to influence the business and win top talent.
  2. Bring an "executive researcher" level of curiosity to our hardest searches. Identify, map, and decode emerging and ambiguous talent pools.
  3. Design and operationalize scalable programs to capture engaged intelligence. A key immediate priority: systemize a cross-functional program to extract performer organisation structures, insights, and referrals from our recent new hires.
  4. Define the requirements and partner with vendors or internal teams to build the AI tools and automated workflows that eliminate manual market research.
  5. Translate raw market data, competitor movements, and compensation trends into actionable "playbooks" and insights that empowers TA to confidently advise the business.
