Marketing: AI Discoverability & Optimization Intern (summer 2026)

Cloudflare Cloudflare · Enterprise · Austin, TX · University

Marketing intern role focused on AI discoverability and optimization, bridging data science and digital marketing. The intern will analyze search and citation data to create a strategic roadmap for growth, ensuring Cloudflare's presence in AI-generated answers and developer coding environments. Responsibilities include identifying user prompts, analyzing coding assistant interpretations, building an authority list, utilizing analytics tools, auditing sentiment, developing a prioritization matrix, and creating an AI Visibility & Gap Report.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify "high-intent" user prompts where our brand is under-represented and recommend specific content optimizations — such as FAQ blocks or comparison tables — to capture these "missing" answers.
  2. Analyze how coding assistants (like GitHub Copilot or Replit Agent) interpret our documentation and technical assets to ensure our tools are the first choice for developers.
  3. Build a "Priority Source List" of third-party wikis, niche forums, and technical blogs that AI engines frequently cite, serving as a "hit list" for PR and backlink efforts.
  4. Deeply utilize SEMRush for AEO and SEO intelligence and Adobe Analytics to understand user behavior and the downstream impact of our visibility.
  5. Distill complex dataset findings into an "executive-ready" AI Visibility & Gap Report by the end of the summer.
