Marketing Automation Specialist

This role focuses on enabling marketer strategies by designing, building, and deploying messaging solutions. The specialist will ensure high-quality user experience through rigorous QA and peer feedback, and drive user engagement by tuning messaging to specific cohorts. Responsibilities include refining strategy requirements, building and testing solutions, conducting peer reviews, monitoring deployments for bugs, and analyzing business impact through BI reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Engages marketers in refinement sessions to clarify strategy requirements to finalize intake.
  2. Builds messaging solution and conducts self-quality assurance testing.
  3. Conducts peer-review quality assurance for Marketing Operations counterparts to enable a deployment ready status.
  4. Actively monitors solution deployment for a limited period to readily identify potential bugs to remediate or mitigate.
  5. Utilizes business intelligence reporting or direct analytical queries to determine the business impact of the solution, and then utilizes that insight in go-forward refinement sessions or team reporting.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of work experience in marketing operations, analytics, or equivalent applied roles
  • Superb writing skills to utilize for documentation, solution design and insights
  • Effective communication skills with globally diverse cultures
  • Curious and analytic mindset, striving to build expertise
  • Ability to be on-call when business critical launches occur
  • Verbal and writing proficiency in the English language

Nice to have

  • Understanding of messaging best practices (email, push, in-app)
  • Working Knowledge in messaging platforms such as Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, HubSpot, Marketo). Platform Certifications would be considered a plus
  • Basic or working knowledge of Liquid, HTML or SQL considered a plus
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders, ideally in an agile way
