Marketing Consultant/connectivity Specialist

This role focuses on enabling connectivity solutions for non-CAT equipment within the rental ecosystem by coordinating the installation and integration of telematics and connectivity hardware. It involves partnering with vendors and internal teams to ensure allied equipment is integrated into digital fleet platforms for visibility and utilization tracking.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinate installation of connectivity hardware at allied vendor manufacturing facilities and retrofit locations
  2. Partner with CAT technology/telematics teams to ensure compatibility, standards adherence, and data flow integrity
  3. Develop and execute rollout plans for new allied equipment models
  4. Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure timely resolution across vendors and internal teams
  5. Establish working relationships with allied OEMs and key supplier contacts

Skills

Required

  • Understanding of telematics, IoT devices, or fleet connectivity systems
  • Familiarity with hardware installation, wiring, and basic diagnostics
  • Knowledge of data integration concepts (APIs, fleet management systems, or telematics platforms)
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and collaborate with engineers
  • Strong project management capabilities (multi-site deployment coordination)
  • Process development and standardization mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent vendor engagements and timelines
  • Detail-oriented execution with a focus on scalability and repeatability
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external vendors and OEM partners
  • Experience influencing without direct authority
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical and operational teams
  • Comfortable working across organizational boundaries and differing priorities
  • Clear communicator with ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
  • Strong written documentation skills (SOPs, requirements, vendor guidelines)
