Marketing (sales) Development Representative

Verkada is seeking a Marketing (Sales) Development Representative to join their team. This role focuses on lead generation and qualification for their AI-powered physical security platform. The position involves following automated processes, distributing leads, and demonstrating product expertise to generate sales-ready meetings. The role offers a path to transition into an Account Executive position after approximately 12 months.

What you'd actually do

  1. Follow automated and standardized processes in order to: qualify and convert a high volume of marketing leads into prospective customers and generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account Executives
  2. Provide accurate lead distribution and thorough discovery to your assigned Account Executives
  3. Utilize Verkada systems such as SalesForce and sales enablement tools according to Verkada standards
  4. Identify pre-selected insights and metrics applicable to the leads you generate
  5. Follow scripted materials to seamlessly demonstrate product expertise when connecting with clientele
  6. Achieve and push the limits of your quota, territory revenue, and growth objectives

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
