Markets Support Specialist

This role provides advanced end-to-end operational support for securities, loans, derivatives, and other financial products across multiple business lines. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely trade processing, settlement, accounting, and reconciliation, as well as managing collateral and client interactions. The role also involves resolving complex operational issues, supporting new initiatives, and potentially providing technical guidance to less experienced team members. A strong focus on operational risk, attention to detail, and client service is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management
  2. Provides simplified client interactions and deepens client relationships across Global Banking and Markets' clients
  3. Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks
  4. Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment
  5. Improves and simplifies the client experience, reducing manual touchpoints

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills: Excel (vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.), Copilot, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Client facing experience or ability to conduct discussions with Clients in a confident manner.
  • Risk minded - able to identify issues and escalate to management.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment during critical funding periods.
  • Works well in a team environment and maintains focus to achieve the goals of the business.
