Master Scheduler

This role is for a Master Scheduler in a manufacturing environment focused on AI infrastructure. The primary responsibilities include managing the master production schedule, analyzing resources and data, generating reports, communicating schedules, identifying potential issues, and driving process improvements. The role requires experience in production planning, data analytics, and familiarity with scheduling and MRP/ERP systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create and diligently maintain the master production schedule to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations across multiple manufacturing locations. This schedule shall have details down to daily activities production forecast across all facilities and extrapolate out 12 weeks.
  2. Analyze resources, determine production rates and crunch data to ensure accurate resource allocated production schedules.
  3. Create insightful scheduling reports to readily identify material shortages, potential customer shipment issues, and labor requirements.
  4. Communicate the 3 week, and 12 week master schedule clearly and effectively with the Production Manager, Production schedulers and Project Managers. This includes leading production schedule review meetings, providing project status updates, and communicating any potential delays.
  5. Review the schedules and proactively identify potential workforce, materials, and shipping issues, communicating these to the leadership team.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analysis, manufacturing, business or related field
  • 7+ years of demonstrable experience in production planning/scheduling
  • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to consume large amounts of data and produce concise schedule reporting
  • Ability to hard code into data programs such as google sheets using the Script application
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google products (specifically Excel/Sheets)
  • Strong ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Efficient in scheduling programs such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Monday.com or similar
  • Experience with software related to schedule and demand planning, preferably with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Acumatica, Oracle ERP, SAP, SAGE, Infor)
  • Eagerness to learn with strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly motivated self-starter who consistently demonstrates professionalism and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • A strong team player who consistently demonstrates a positive attitude towards teammates and actively strives for continuous improvement in processes and delivery
  • Proven manufacturing experience (ideally in metal or electrical manufacturing) with a solid understanding of material flow principles
  • Requires the ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise of all sizes up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
